Waikouaiti Coast Community Board

The Waikouaiti Coast Community Board represents your local community and advocates to Dunedin City Council about local issues, including public transport and facilities such as libraries and parks. The board is made up of six members. This is a single transferable vote (STV) election, so you vote by ranking the candidates on your ballot paper.   • Promote the rapid replacement of local waste water plants which are not performing up to standard including Waitati in the scheme.

    Provide money via council for continued pest control and assist private land owners to fence off and plant streams and remnant bush areas.

    Support local group Onecoast which is doing excellent work diverting waste.

  • Continue to push for DCC funding support for the One Coast community facility at the Waikouaiti Transfer Station.

    Support local initiatives to enhance the North Coast's reputation for environmental protection and enhancement.
