Make the Basin Swamp again! Hanga Repo Anō ki Hauwai! This will build biodiversity in the central city. Ka ora anō te taiao ki te tāone.
Rewild the city and eliminate waste by severely restricting movement of freight. Ka mutu te para nā te kore taraka.
Extend funding to predator free and other local conservation programmes to ensure delivery and continued benefit for Wellington.
Protect waterways by upgrading stormwater and sewage systems so our harbour, beaches and streams are safe and healthy.
Keep public parks, green spaces and streetscapes clean and well maintained for residents, reducing pollution.
Deliver reliable waste and recycling services that work well for households without adding costly or unproven new schemes.
Create fish ponds in every burst water pipe using lovely clean water to support new species of chocolate fish in Wellington's inner city.
Ban possession, growth and distribution of agapanthus with a view to planting native trees instead.
Shame publicly any person who does not adhere to very strict recycling and refuse separation rules handed down from on high.
Support Predator Free by maintaining council funding.
Plant more trees in reserves to create habitat for native birds and plant more street trees to provide shade to pedestrians.
Develop a 100-year vision of environmental restoration for Te Taiao in partnership with mana whenua.
