Why I'm standing
I am running for the Local Board because I believe Waitematā should be a safe, vibrant place where everyone feels at home. I believe in high quality local services, inclusive representation, and effective decision-making. I want to bring my governance experience, community advocacy, strong work ethic, and genuine commitment to listening to ensure that our communities thrive, our voices are heard, and our Local Board really delivers for all of the people it represents.
About me
I will bring integrity, commitment, and governance experience to the Local Board. I am a law tutor, board chair, community advocate, and a member of Auckland Council's Rainbow Communities Advisory Panel. I am deeply connected to Waitematā, where I live and work. I care about the strength of our communities, and my core beliefs are inclusivity, accountability, and fairness. I will use my skills and energy to ensure the Local Board serves our diverse communities.
My priorities
- Create connected communities with better transport and housing so people feel safe and secure.
- Strengthen local democracy by being available and accessible, ensuring all communities have a voice.
- Support local businesses and not-for-profits to grow jobs, wellbeing and a vibrant Waitematā.
