Why I'm standing
Riccarton is a special place. I grew up on Kauri Street, went to local schools and worked in local business. Now having worked across industry and around the world, I want to put my skills to work for the community, and give back. Riccarton is the starting point to a new life for so many, and contains so many creative and hard-working people. I want to offer a fresh perspective and build on our strengths.
About me
I have always had a passion for finding shared solutions: bringing people together and finding consensus, and do so in my professional capacity too. I have worked across government, the private sector, banking, the transport industry and now in a charity that provides healthcare to countries that need it. Leading major transformations, I engage and listen to everyone, bring them together, and drive a shared outcome. I will bring this skillset to Community Board.
My priorities
- Advocate for safe, liveable streets with transport options to get people to work, school and play.
- Build thriving businesses and more jobs by filling empty stores in main streets with local business.
- Present and proactive representation by working with the community to find a solution to all issues.
