Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board

Tāmaki Subdivision
The Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board is one of 21 local boards in Auckland. The local board makes a plan for your area and decides on local issues, activities and facilities. It also oversees council services and facilities in your area, including libraries and parks. The local board is made up of seven members. Members are elected to represent different subdivisions within the local board area. four members will be elected from your area. This is a first past the post (FPP) election, so you vote by ticking the name of your preferred candidate on your ballot paper. I am a local, long-term resident with wide experience in business and community service. As founder of an online community, "Panmure Remember When" (2021), my interaction with local perspectives, narratives, and histories has motivated my decision to stand as a candidate. I am committed to diligent work and to effectively representing the interests and perspectives of all in the community.

My priorities
  1. Apply localism where local communities are fully involved in the decision-making process.
  2. Ensure that local communities are included and involved in the consultation process.
  3. Better communicate with local communities so people feel connected to decisions that impact them.
