Why I'm standing
I believe our local board should prioritise core services rather than nice-to-haves. I consider the Henderson Safe Streets trial of 2021 a good example of misplaced priorities. I am concerned about the lack of genuine local consultation. I believe the same old people who have taken bad decisions continue to hold office and make poor decisions.
About me
I have experience in governance and running community organisations. I hold a PgDip in public sector management. I am a filmmaker and television producer who has worked in the grassroots. I am also involved in promoting international trade and sit on the board of the New Zealand Bharat Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
My priorities
- Prioritise core services and reduce spending on unnecessary activities.
- Remove or reduce unnecessary speed bumps and traffic restrictions.
- Advocate to replace the railway crossing at Ranui with a flyover.
